Vox + Friends (1 December 2017)

Friday 1 December 2017 at 7 pm

It's getting chilly out and dark early... so come and join us for the perfect antidote to your winter blues! Something mulled, homecooked chow, and tasty tunes from VOX and some special guests.

Doors open at 7pm and there'll be festivities until around 10.30pm. The night features:

  • New works by composers Edewede Oriwoh, Omar Peracha and Joe Steele.
  • Lush arrangements of tunes by the likes of James Blake, Kate Bush and Bon Iver.
  • Guest sets from some brilliant emerging artists including writer-producer DanAleX (check out his debut EP here).

Keep an eye on here for more announcements as the week goes on...

Pay What You Decide. Reserve your space for free here! Funds raised will go towards supporting BAMER and women composers through the VOX Commission.

At Heath Street Baptist Church. See map and get directions.

Formed in 2012, VOX is a 16-bean a capella group making jazz, pop, nu-folk, neo-soul and anything weird as long as it's wonderful. They've performed at the Southbank Centre, Roundhouse, Coastival, and Servant Jazz Quarters, and run a commission for women and BAMER composers.

Vox London Collective is directed by Simone Ibbett-Brown, Laurence Morgan, Natalie Mortlock and Omar Peracha.
