Are you looking to learn how to tear up the dancefloor? Swing Patrol can help! They run weekly classes that cover all the basics of swing dancing. There’s no need to book ahead for their weekly classes and no need to bring a partner with you.

Class details

  • 7.00-8.00 pm: Level 1 - Absolute beginners class

This level 1 swing dancing class is for new dancers and there is no experience required. The teachers go over the basics every week and then throw in some new moves to get you dancing in no time. The class is drop-in, so you don’t need to book in advance and you don’t need to bring a partner.

  • 8.10–9.10 pm: Level 1.5 – Improvers class

You have learned some basic moves, but seek a deeper understanding of style and technique. This class will improve your fundamentals in swing.

Taking more than one class on the same evening? Your second class is half price - just £5 (£4 for full time university students)! They currently only take cash payments on the door, or you can buy a class card via their online shop and enjoy a discounted rate!

Swing Patrol

Swing Patrol is a well-known and unique community of over 1,500 swing dancers featuring a first class teaching team, four award winning performance troupes, a dedicated admin and volunteer team and what we think (bias acknowledged) are the most dedicated and passionate group of social dancers in the world. The curator of this crazy family is Scott Cupit who is responsible for the vision and leadership of Swing Patrol.

Our amazing teachers, run over 30 weekly classes and workshops teaching lindy hop and blues in London and Brighton. So whether you want to learn to dance, come and get have a boogie in our weekly socials and events, or hire our team for your event, we hope to see you soon!
