Heath Street Choir
About the choir
Heath Street Choir, founded in December 2012, is a community choir in the Hampstead area. It is based in Heath Street Baptist Church and gives quarterly performances to help support the various charities aided by the church.
The choir accepts members of all ages and levels of ability, and is a fantastic opportunity for local residents to meet new people and learn a new skill. The choir mistress, Emily Gray,is a classically trained soprano and she hopes to pass her understanding of singing technique to the members of the ensemble.
The choir performs both sacred and secular music, and is available for bookings.
Join the choir
Heath Street Choir is still auditioning.
As a member of the choir you will learn the basics of sight reading and singing technique, and hopefully have some fun with an eclectic group of people. The audition process is extremely laid back, and is more of an opportunity for you to meet with the choir mistress than it is a test of your ability.
The choir welcomes any prospective new members, regardless of their singing ability or previous experience. To arrange an audition, contact Emily Gray on Emily@heathstreetchoir.com or 07966 535693.
The choir meets each Thursday at Heath Street Baptist Church from 7:30pm - 9:00pm. The joining fee for the choir is £8, and the quarterly membership fee is £10.
