Monday 1st November 20218:00pmAn Evening With Alan Clark
Inducted into the rock 'n' roll hall of fame for his roll in Dire Straits, Alan Clark is one of rock music's rarities; a keyboard player who makes classical piano work in the rock environment. Having played and recorded with a long list of other artists that include Eric Clapton, whose band he was in for 3 years, Tina Turner as her musical director, Bob Dylan, The Bee Gees, Rod Stewart and many others, Alan has spent the last 40 years making rock history. He will be performing tracks from his highly acclaimed new album 'Backstory'. He will also revisit major tracks he's played a part in and recount their past as he recreates them as piano solos.

These weekly Zoom discussions each focus on a theological lecture, available online, which participants are expected to have watched or listened to beforehand. Each discussion is introduced with a brief recapitulation of the argument of the week’s lecture (usually by the Minister!) and some suggestions for points of discussion. After that the floor is open. By way of light relief, each week’s video link is accompanied by one suggested gospel song for listening to during the week, and each ‘live’ (i.e. real-time) discussion also begins by listening together to another song from the playlist.
