A course of 53 lectures to get you thinking about Christian theology. These weekly Zoom discussions each focus on a theological lecture, available online, which participants are expected to have watched or listened to beforehand. Each discussion is introduced with a brief recapitulation of the argument of the week’s lecture (usually by the Minister!) and some suggestions for points of discussion. After that the floor is open. By way of light relief, each week’s video link is accompanied by one suggested gospel song for listening to during the week, and each ‘live’ (i.e. real-time) discussion also begins by listening together to another song from the playlist. Alex Metcalfe performs a compilation of tunes from the jazz canon and beyond, transcribed and arranged by him, including music by Bill Evans, Chet Baker, Jerome Kern, Thelonious Monks, Geroge Shearing, Bach, Jaques Loussier, Geroge Gershwin and many more.

Rob Luft and Zac Gvi play Zac's original compositions and music by Joao Gilberto and Charlie Haden, concentrating on slower, evocative material with a Southern inflection. Rob is one of the most fearlessly creative guitarists of his generation, a BBC New Generation Jazz Artist who has recorded for ECM, and a lovely individual. Zac is a regular at the Lunchtime Concert Series, performing new and old music in a wide range of musical styles and ensembles.
